Who is the program for?

Career Israel is an excellent option for Jewish college students for the two month program or college graduates looking for practical experience in their field that will help them secure a job and/or get into the graduate school of their choice. The program also targets alumni of Birthright or other Israel programs who are looking for a more independent and in-depth Israel experience.

Why is Career Israel unique?

Career Israel is time and time again the most popular post-college internship program with over 600 participants to date since its inception 3 and a half years ago. 1) Our focus is not only on your internship but making you a more marketable employee/ graduate student. We offer resume building and job counseling opportunities as well as GRE/GMAT prep courses (at an extra cost) for those looking to transition into graduate programs.  2) Our program is not trying to make a buck on you. We work hard to keep costs low and we remain one of the cheapest internship programs in Israel. 3) Exploring Israel and getting to know the land is important to us. Our educational program is often one of our participants' favorite parts of the program.

Where do participants intern?

Participants intern in almost every field imaginable from hi-tech, communications, marketing, non-profit, education, hotel management, museum work, engineering, public relations, law, psychological services, government research and more. There is on-line internship database and search engine with internship options on our website:www.careerisrael.comNew internships are being developed constantly, so options are not limited to what is on the site.

How much does the program cost?

$6000 (+ $300 registration fee) for the 5 month program.  The Masa grant for North Americans in post-college semester programs in the 2010-11 academic year is $3000, and participants have the option to apply for an additional up to $1500 of needs-based funding. Therefore the actual program cost for North Americans is no more than $3300 + flights and living expenses. In other countries the Masa grant is individual and based on the financial need of each participant. The 2 month summer program costs $900 for the same services (but with housing at an additional cost).

What is included?

Accommodations in extremely central locations in Tel Aviv, Haifa or Jerusalem, a bus pass, medical insurance, accompanying staff, and a supplementary educational program including Ulpan, tours, seminars and lectures. A living stipend and flights are not included.

We will also be offering GMAT and GRE test preparation courses at an additional cost.
